Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for the 24/7 oversight of our remote infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime and rapid response to system alerts through our advanced Remote Monitoring System.

Key Responsibilities

• Real-time Monitoring: Oversee system dashboards to track the health and performance of remote assets (e.g., solar plants, power systems, or industrial sensors).
• Incident Response: Identify and diagnose system anomalies, faults, or connectivity issues as they arise and initiate immediate corrective actions.
• Troubleshooting: Perform remote diagnostics and basic level-1 troubleshooting to resolve technical glitches without needing on-site intervention.
• Data Analysis: Analyze performance trends and energy generation data to identify inefficiencies or potential hardware failures.
• Reporting: Generate daily and monthly performance reports, documenting uptime, downtime, and critical incidents for management review.
• Coordination: Liaison with on-site field engineers and technical support teams to guide them through complex repairs and maintenance.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or Instrumentation.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in remote monitoring, O&M (Operation & Maintenance), or control room operations.
• Certification: (Optional) Basic certifications in IoT or Network Administration are a plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with IoT-based monitoring platforms, SCADA systems, or cloud-based data loggers.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data graphs and technical alerts to pinpoint root causes.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and electronic systems.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (for data logging) and basic knowledge of network protocols (Modbus, RS485, TCP/IP).
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for reporting and coordinating with field staff.
